The FA Cup quarter-final matches will be played over the weekend of March 16/17. What Premier League games will be affected?

What Premier League games will be postponed?

More than half of the fixtures for gameweek 29 in the Premier League are going to be postponed due to FA Cup commitments. FPL members will be sure to ready their ‘free hit’ for that weekend.

They’ll be no Super Sunday for Sky Sports as both of their games have been postponed. The Merseyside derby was supposed to be the 2pm game followed by Brighton v Manchester City at 4:30pm.

TNT Sports will also have to go without their scheduled game for the weekend. Arsenal v Chelsea was selected for the 12:30pm slot.

Sheffield United’s trip to Old Trafford will also have to be played at a later date due to Manchester United’s involvement in the quarter-final.

Crystal Palace v Newcastle and Wolves v Bournemouth are the other two games that will be postponed.

Current Premier League fixtures for gameweek 29

Sky Sports have managed to keep their Saturday tea time game. West Ham and Aston Villa face each other on the Sunday due to Europa League commitments.

Plenty of interesting fixtures for the relegation battle on Saturday too.

Saturday 16th March:

Burnley v Brentford – 3pm

Luton v Nottingham Forest – 3pm

Fulham v Tottenham Hotspur – 5:30pm – Sky Sports Premier League

Sunday 17th March:

West Ham v Aston Villa – 2pm

FA Cup quarter-final fixtures

The times, broadcasters and official dates are yet to be decided. Leicester and Coventry are the only teams outside of the Premier League that are still in the competition. Four of the ‘big six’ are all still fighting for the trophy of oldest football competition.

Manchester United v Liverpool is the highlight of the fixtures but Manchester City v Newcastle will also carry plenty of fireworks.
