Manchester United Transfer Exclusive: Red Devils Expecting Borussia Dortmund To Return For Jadon Sancho In Summer

Manchester United are expecting Borussia Dortmund to return this summer with hopes of extending Jadon Sancho’s stay in Germany.

At the start of January, when the Sancho deal was being ironed out, we revealed on SportsLens how there had been proposals from Dortmund over an 18-month loan for the Manchester United winger.

United did not want to commit to such an agreement but now that INEOS have finally taken up their share in the club, further discussions on the matter can become easier at the end of the season.

Manchester United Transfer News – Jadon Sancho Back To Germany Permanently?

Sancho was back in Champions League action this week as his return to form continues after being shut out at Old Trafford for the first half of the season by Erik ten Hag.

He played 68 minutes in the 1-1 draw at PSV and has also started three of the five Bundesliga games he has been involved in so far.

Dortmund are enjoying having him back, sources say, and there will be fresh intent to speak to United about a loan for next season.

It is felt he would not have a pathway back in at United if ten Hag is still manager but at a time when the club are also needing to raise funds to kickstart their own team transfers, it could be that United look to sell him.

He is currently valued at £50million by market experts and that is a figure Dortmund, or any other club, is unlikely to meet in the coming months.

They could attempt to knock the price down but, if they decide against a firm offer, a loan could also become achievable if Sancho makes it clear he wants to remain in Germany.

United are planning to make up to five serious signings this summer that give their squad a look of fresh intent for next season – but any spending spree will be limited, depending on which players make way.
