Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has once again revised his outlook on Arsenal’s chances in the Premier League title race.

Initially supporting the Gunners at the season’s start, Neville later changed his tune, citing a lack of prolific finishing in front of goal.

However, Arsenal’s dominant 6-0 victory against West Ham prompted another adjustment in the Sky Sports pundit’s Premier League title prediction.

Speaking after the game, Neville said, “It was around this time last year that there was a lot of pressure on Arsenal because they were so many points clear.

“Everyone thought they’d win the league. But now they are sat there in the pack, right on the shoulder, and it may suit them better.”

He added, “They’ve not produced their best form to this point, but they have in the last couple of weeks started to look like they will hit the same form as last season, that put them into a position of winning the league.”

Emphasising the need for calmness, Neville concluded, “They need to stay focused, calm, and keep their players fit. They’re good in a lot of areas.

“If their front players, who are really exciting, can start to score the goals they were not at the start of the season, they have a real chance.”

Arsenal currently sit third in the table, level on points and goal difference with second-placed Manchester City, while Liverpool lead by two points.

The Gunners travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley on Saturday before returning their attention to the Champions League, where they face Porto in the Last 16.
