Jose Mourinho is in contention for the Bayern Munich job if they decide to sack Thomas Tuchel.
Mourinho’s Bayern Munich rumour
Mourinho is reportedly learning German in case the opportunity arises. BILD were told that Mourinho would be ready if he was offered the role.

The Portuguese manager was recently sacked by Roma for a string of poor results, despite leading them to two European finals in two seasons.
Mourinho would be united with Harry Kane. They share a good relationship that goes back to when Mourinho managed Tottenham. In the 2020-21 season, Kane sealed the Golden Boot with 23 goals. Under Mourinho, Kane managed 63 G/A in 62 matches.
Mourinho is a proven serial winner with 26 trophies so far in his career. That includes three Premier League titles and two Champions Leagues.
A move to Germany will come as a surprise for some, especially because Mourinho hinted that his next role would be in Saudi Arabia.
Just a few months ago, Mourinho said: “I will go to Saudi Arabia in some free time, but I am convinced that I will work there. “I don’t know when, but I am pretty sure of it. No one knows the future, but I will definitely do this [working in Saudi Arabia].”
Tuchel in trouble
Tuchel has come under fire as his team were outclassed by Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen. The 3-0 win has put Leverkusen five points ahead at the top of the table.
Bayer Leverkusen have a great chance of preventing Bayern Munich of lifting their 12th Bundesliga title in a row. Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen publicly backed Tuchel after the Bayer Leverkusen defeat and ensured his job is safe.
Dressen said: “Nothing changes. We knew beforehand that it would be a difficult game. We would have liked a different result. We are concentrating on the next games.
“I don’t like to repeat myself (about Tuchel’s future), it remains as I just said.”
Bayern Munich will now be look to the Champions League as an escape from the Bundesliga talk. They travel to Italy to play Lazio in the Round of 16.
If Tuchel can’t provide the Bundesliga title, then the Champions League will become of an extreme importance to the club. They breezed through their group stage matches – finishing the group top with 16 points.
