Progeny of the sire Gentlewave have a 26 from 124 record over fences (21% strike-rate) for a profit of £36.08 to a £1 level stake at SP. WAVELENGTH was beaten by over 19 lengths when fourth here last time but that form has worked out remarkably well with the three who beaten him winning all five of their combined subsequent outings.
CARLISLE 4.40
I AM MAX (system – damsire Midnight Legend, February to April)
Horses with Midnight Legend as their damsire tend to come good as spring approaches and backing the qualifiers blind over hurdles/fences would have found 37 winners from 226 bets (16.4%) for a profit of £28.33. Sandy Thomson has found some form after a quiet spell and I AM MAX is worth a speculative interest.

INTERNATIONAL LAW (system – Antony Brittain, January/February, recent run)
Antony Brittan does well at this time of year (January/February), especially with horses who have had a recent outing (within the past three weeks). He’s scored with 47 of the 286 qualifiers (16.4% strike-rate) for a profit of £58.13 to a £1 level stake at SP. INTERNATIONAL LAW might have needed the run after a 114-day when sixth over course and distance on January 18th and should do better tonight.
