Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew heads to the afternoon all-weather meeting at Chelmsford City for his two recommended bets/trades on Thursday, January 18th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

CHELMSFORD 1.20

NEW YORK BAY only scraped home by a short head over course and distance last week but took the scenic route, hanging to the right and ending up against the nearside rail – a rare occurrence on Chelmsford’s wide home straight. Runner-up Taxiing went one better at Wolverhampton on Tuesday and Gay Kelleway’s four-year-old can make it three from three for the year in this Class 6 handicap. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back NEW YORK BAY in Chelmsford 1.20

CHELMSFORD 4.15

Jack Jones has impressed with his strike-rate in all-weather handicaps since taking out his license, scoring with 20 of his 81 runners (24.7%) for a profit of £48.35 to a £1 level stake at SP. In Class 6 company only the strike-rate improves to 28.3% (17 winners from 60 runners) for a profit of £55.23. CRYPTOS DREAM was only beaten by half a length from a poor wide draw at Wolverhampton last time and five of his six best RPRs (Racing Post Ratings) have come on Polytrack. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back CRYPTOS DREAM in Chelmsford 4.15
