Andrew heads to the evening all-weather action at Kempton for his two stats-based picks on Wednesday, January 17th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
KEMPTON 5.30
DUE DATE (system – Due Diligence, visored)
The form of DUE DATE‘s Chelmsford 50-1 fourth behind dead-heaters Daytona Lady and Sir Rodneyredblood is working out well, with the first-named following up at Wolverhampton last week and Due Date himself returning to the Essex venue to score at 6-1. That win took the record of Due Diligence offspring in a visor to 11 wins from 47 starts for a profit of £37.20 to a £1 level stake at SP and the four-year-old is taken to defy a penalty.
KEMPTON 6.30
QUEEN JEAN (system – Ralph Beckett, first-time blinkers)
Since the beginning of 2016, Ralph Beckett is 30 from 154 (19.5% strike-rate) when using first-time blinkers for a profit of £91.60 to a £1 level stake at SP. Morning Light qualified when second at 80-1 here last week and perhaps QUEEN JEAN can go one better, albeit at much shorter odds.
