Bahrain 2023 Asian Cup Preview
Bahrain head into the 2023 Asian Cup as big outsiders at odds of 125/1 with leading football betting apps to win the tournament for the first time in their history.
This comes as no surprise, given the fact their best Asian Cup finish was fourth back in 2004. After just one appearance pre-2004 (1988 Asian Cup), Bahrain have turned their fortunes around somewhat, qualifying for the last five straight tournaments.
This year, it comes as no surprise that UK betting sites don’t give Bahrain much of a chance. They are in Group E alongside one of the pre-tournament favourites South Korea, Jordan and Malaysia. It isn’t beyond the realms of possibility that Bahrain progress from their group, but they will have to be on top of their game to do so.

Abdulla Yusuf Helal is one of Bahrain’s star players, who could be worth keeping an eye on at the 2023 Asian Cup. The 30-year-old is ranked as one of the most popular Bahraini footballers to ever represent the country.
He has played represented Bahrain for around a decade now, achieving 96 caps which includes scoring 13 goals. Yusef plays his club football for Czech Republic Fortuna Liga side Mlada Boleslav, leading the line for them.
He also leads the line for his national team, and will play an integral role if Bahrain are to qualify for the knockout stages for a second Asian Cup running. He will score goals if given the opportunities. Could be a shining light for Bahrain in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
