YouTuber Mark Goldbridge has slammed Manchester United following Jadon Sancho’s loan move to Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho Joins Borussia Dortmund

Jadon Sancho has joined former club Borussia Dortmund on loan from Manchester United.

The English winger joined Manchester United from Bundesliga side Dortmund back in 2021 for £73m following a transfer saga spanning 2 summer windows.

However, the 23-year-old struggled to adjust to the Premier League under, then-manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and it showed in his performances on the pitch.

Following Erik ten Hag’s arrival at Manchester United, Sancho was given time away from the squad to focus on his mental health, before making his return to Premier League action at the beginning of 2023.

Unfortunately, Sancho once again failed to kick on and following a public war of words with ten Hag, the former Manchester City youth player was banished from the first-team squad and has not appeared in a Manchester United shirt since.

Goldbridge On Sancho’s Dortmund Move

Speaking on The United Stand YouTube channel, Mark Goldbridge slammed Manchester United for yet another failed signing, saying: “It’s been a very turbulent time at Manchester United for Jadon Sancho and I’m convinced there’s another side to this story.

“You’ve got to question Manchester United here. Jadon Sancho is Jadon Sancho, Ravel Morrison was Ravel Morrison, Gazza was Gazza. These are talented footballers that p*** it up the wall. We can’t dictate to them that they should do better.

“I think it’s a great shame that Sancho hasn’t delivered the talent that we thought we were going to get, but Manchester United have failed massively here.”

Goldbridge continued: “He had problems at Dortmund with lateness and I think there were times when he didn’t turn up, but the problems were there and Manchester United didn’t see them.

“The amount of money we’ve invested in this, to be loaning him back to a club we gave £75m to 2 and half years later is embarrassing!

“Part of me would not loan him back to Dortmund just so you don’t have the embarrassment of giving him back to Dortmund.”
