Liverpool fans on Twitter/X believe that an XI made up of currently unavailable players could win the Premier League.
Why Do Liverpool Have So Many Unavailable Players?
A mixture of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, Asia Cup and injuries means that Liverpool’s first-team squad is looking a little bit thin for the rest of the month.
And with their side currently sitting top of the Premier League table, Liverpool fans have taken a closer look at their list of absentees, and they believe an XI of their unavailable players could actually win them the league.
Liverpool’s Unavailable XI
Up first is Adrian, though he is certainly not first choice or even second choice for that matter, the Spaniard does have plenty of Premier League experience which could be useful throughout the backend of the season.
In defence, Trent Alexander-Arnold’s recent knee injury, paired with Andy Robertson’s long-term shoulder injury, means Liverpool are now without both first-choice full-backs.
The dynamic duo have been key to Liverpool’s success in recent years with the Merseyside club heavily reliant on their ability to create chances from wide areas.
Throw in long-term injuries to Joel Matip and Kostas Tsimikas and you’re looking at something resembling a makeshift back four.

Onto midfield, Liverpool are without Wataru Endo, who heads to the Asia Cup with Japan, Thiago Alcantara, who is yet to make an appearance this season after sustaining a hip injury in April, and fellow Spaniard Stefan Bajcetic, who has been out with a calf injury since September.
Things are shaping up nicely as we move onto the forward line. Highly-rated 18-year-old Ben Doak takes right-wing spot after undergoing knee surgery before Christmas, with Dominik Szoboszlai filling in at left-wing after coming off injured in Liverpool’s New Year’s Day fixture against Newcastle United.
Last but by no means least, the man Liverpool are likely to miss most is star man Mohamed Salah, who takes his place up front in this Liverpool unavailable XI after heading to the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt.
The Egyptian is the Premier League’s joint top scorer on 14 this season and tops the league’s assists charts with 8, meaning Liverpool could lack cutting-edge without their talisman.
