Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew returns from a short break with three recommended bets/trades at Cork, Wincanton and Kempton on Saturday, January 6th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
CORK 2.32
NOBLE BLUE took a step forward when a 12-1 second of 12 at Gowran Park on his penultimate start but was beaten by 14 lengths into fourth place when 6-4 favourite at Tramore next time. That run was especially disappointing, as he raced wide on the better ground. He again heads the market for this beginners’ chase and can be sold in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Fixed odds punters might want to side with NEPHIN BEG, ahead of Noble Blue at Tramore, despite racing in the ‘swamp’ on the inside rail.
Recommendation: Oppose NOBLE BLUE in Cork 2.32
WINCANTON 3.15
RARE CLOUDS is hardly prolific, scoring just once from 21 career starts, but the Simon Earle-trained ten-year-old is very consistent and was only beaten by half a length when an 18-1 third at Chepstow last time to take his form figures since wind surgery to 12S44233 (1-8). Most of his runs have taken place on good going but the son of Cloudings is certainly bred to appreciate mud and it was very soft at Chepstow last time. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.
Recommendation: Back RARE CLOUDS in Wincanton 3.15
KEMPTON JOCKEYS
BILLY LOUGHNANE has been in cracking form so far this year and rode another winner at Wolverhampton last night. He also rode a treble at Kempton on Wednesday evening and has a number of good chances at the Surrey venue again. MAPOGO (5.45) probably did too much too soon from stall 1 (first three drawn 10, 9 and 8) when fourth at Wolverhampton last time and the switch to a right-handed track could suit. Amo Racing have a fine record with newcomers and the well-drawn PERSIAN BLISS should be ready to go in the restricted novice (6.15), while UNITED FRONT (6.45) looks interesting back at Kempton off a mark of 85, having run second by a neck off 104 on his latest course visit. BLIND BEGGAR (7.15), two from two on Polytrack, will appreciate the change of surface after struggling at Southwell last time. CITIZEN GENERAL (7.45) was a solid 40-1 fourth of 14 here last time and might be able to build on that, while FIDDLERS GREEN (8.15), his shortest-price mount, took a step forward when fourth in a 1m2f handicap last time on his first run beyond 1m and the extra furlong could suit. Buy Billy Loughnane in the Spreadex KEMPTON JOCKEYS market or combine his rides in a multiple bet.
Recommendation: Buy BILLY LOUGHNANE in Kempton Jockeys
