Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew heads to Newbury, Taunton and Wolverhampton for his two recommended bets/trades on Saturday, December 30th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
NEWBURY 12.05
AMELIA’S DANCE had excuses when only fifth at Taunton last time, as she raced in the ‘swamp’ on the inside rail and was in good form before that run, finishing runner-up at big prices (33-1 and 16-1) and Wincanton and Kempton. However, the return to a left-handed track, especially a galloping one, is a major concern for Robert Walford’s eight-year-old. She finished unplaced at Stratford when last racing in this direction and was beaten by 30 lengths into fifth place when 7-1 for this race last year. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.
Recommendation: Oppose AMELIA’S DANCE in Newbury 12.05
TAUNTON 3.20
DINDIN will be popular after his 22-1 second of 14 over the extended 2m7f trip here last month but looked flattered under patient tactics in a race run to suit the closers. The softer ground is not ideal either – his three wins in Britain all came on good ground between March and September – and he can be sold in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.
Recommendation: Oppose DINDIN in Taunton 3.20
WOLVERHAMPTON 5.15
GINCIDENT trailed home last of the eight runners in a Class 3 course and distance handicap 25 days ago but had excuses. Richard Fahey’s gelding had the worst of the draw in stall 8 and was ridden patient in a race not run to suit such tactics – the first four home were described by then Racing Post as ‘pressed leader’, ‘pressed leader’, ‘took keen hold, in touch with leaders’ and ‘led at steady pace’. Fifth-placed Queen Of Ipanema (‘held up in rear’) fared best of the hold-up horses and she came out to win at Wolverhampton a fortnight later when dropped to Class 4 level. Gincident is back in Class 4 company for the first time since April’s comfortable Musselburgh success and her full record in this grade or lower, since stepped up to 1m or further, reads 111 (3-3). Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back GINCIDENT in Wolverhampton 5.15
