BLOW YOUR WAD made an encouraging chase debut when a ten-lengths second of four at Sandown last month and Tom Lacey’s five-year-old looks the play in the 2m4.5f novices’ limited handicap chase that gets proceedings underway at Kempton. That Sandown effort took his record below Grade 2 level to at 2221122 (2-7), giving him the ideal profile for a buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.

MARKET RASEN 1.47
Mark Walford’s GIOVANNI CHANGE loves Market Rasen, recording form figures at the Lincolnshire of 3113P43112 (4-10) for a profit of £12.00 to a £1 level stake at SP, improving to 311411 (4-6) in Class 3 or lower company for a profit of £16.00. The eight-year-old found only one too good in a Class 2 handicap hurdle here last time and finished a 16-1 second at Doncaster at about this time last year when last competing over fences. He’s open to improvement on only his third chase outing and the drop to Class 4 level and return to Market Rasen and can see him break his chase duck. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

FONTWELL 2.52
Owners Goodwin Racing have only had six runners at Fontwell previously and they recorded form figures of 241113 (3-6) for a profit of £14.33 to a £1 level stake at SP. SANDY BROOK ran second on his sole course outing, going down by just half a length in maiden hurdle company back in March 2021. The eight-year-old hasn’t shown much in two runs since switched to fences this term but would have needed his comeback run after a break of 699 days when eighth of 15 at Lingfield and he attracted market interest prior to pulling up at Wincanton 19 days later, a race that may have come too soon. The return to Fontwell, small field and addition of first-time cheekpieces could all contribute to a much-improved performance and he’s worth chancing at what should be big odds. He’s forecast to start at 12-1 in the Racing Post and can be bought in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.
