Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has demanded more from his teammates following their hard-fought draw against Liverpool on Sunday.
Onana: Liverpool Vs. Manchester United
Andre Onana has had a tough start to life at Manchester United. Having made a series of costly errors in the Champions League, which eventually saw the Red Devils eliminated from the competition, the Cameroonian’s ability was brought into question.
However, in the Premier League, the former Inter Milan shot-stopper’s form has taken an upturn with Onana putting in another strong perfomance against Liverpool on Sunday.
Despite a dominant Liverpool display, which accumulated 34 shots, the Cameroonian kept a clean-sheet as United drew 0-0 with their bitter rivals.

Onana On Manchester United
Despite getting a point and keeping a clean-sheet, Onana has called for his teammates to raise thier standards for the remainder of the season.
Speaking to MUTV following the game, Onana said: “We are Manchester United, we are one of the biggest clubs in the world and, against every opponent we play, we want to win.
“We got one point, we fight together, we show a lot of character, a lot of personality but it’s not enough. We have to try to win the game. Unfortunately we didn’t. We have to put the standard higher. Doesn’t matter who we play, we have to go to win.
“I’m [a] Manchester United goalkeeper so you have to be ready for everything,” Onana continued.
“I’m used to playing big games with high intensity, so that’s why they brought me here.
“It was a nice game for us to play. We face a very good opponent, but we show we are good players. We are a big club. That’s why we are going back with the point.”
Manchester United face West Ham in the Premier League at the London stadium on Saturday, where they will be hoping to build some momentum off the back of their draw with Liverpool.
