Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Report: Kulusevski Shines In Spurs Win
The hosts came into the match looking to turn their recent form around, after losing four of their previous five matches.
The match got off to a steady start, with neither side offering much in the sense of attack and Brennan Johnson, on his return to the City Ground, was forced off due to a concussion.
Ange Postecoglou’s side took the lead in added time of the first half, as Dejan Kulusevski played a delightful ball into the box for Richarlison to head home.
Forest failed to make an impact during the second-half, as Spurs neutralised any attacks. However, Anthony Elanga thought he had levelled for his side but a VAR review deemed he Swede to be offside.
Then, in 65th minute his international teammate doubled Spurs’ lead, as Kulusevski smashed the ball into the near post past a helpless Matthew Turner.
It seemed to be a perfect night for Spurs until the 70th minute, as Yves Bissouma saw red for a reckless challenge on Ryan Yates.
Nottingham Forest failed to take advantage of the extra man and the visitors held on to clinch all three points at the City Ground.
