Steve Cooper’s side will kick off the Premier League weekend, as they welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the City Ground on Friday evening.
The Reds currently sit 16th in the table and are just five points clear of the relegation zone – piling the pressure on Cooper.
Their opponents come into the match full of confidence, as Spurs thrashed Newcastle 4-1 won in their last Premier League clash. Ange Postceoglou’s side had been on a poor run of form prior to this result, losing four of the previous five.
The visitors are still missing a host of key players, as James Maddison and Micky van de ven are still unavailable. While Rodrigo Bentancur is back on the sidelines after a short return from a previous injury.
Forest will be without star striker, Taiwo Awoniyi and former spurs player, Serge Aurier, as both players recover from a groin and calf injury respectively.
Last season, Spurs won this fixture 2-0 thanks to goals from Harry Kane – who is now enjoying life at Bayern Munich.
