Dortmund Vs. PSG In The Champions League

Having already qualified for the Champions League knockout stages, Borussia Dortmund needed just a point against PSG to top Group F.

PSG, on the other hand, knew that a victory over Dortmund would take them top of the group and guarantee their progression to the knockout stages, no matter the result in the Newcastle United – PSG match.

With the scores still level at half-time, Borussia Dortmund eventually made the break through in the 51st minute through Karim Adeyemi’s tidy finish.

However, within 5 minutes of the break through, PSG had the all-important leveller after 17-year-old Warren Zaïre-Emery picked up on a lose ball on the edge of Dormund’s area, before slotting the ball into the bottom corner.

PSG thought they all had scored the winner in the 76th minute, after Mbappe broke through the Dortmund defence before finishing tidily, however after a VAR review the goal was ruled out for a borderline offside.

The tie finished 1-1 and was just enough to see PSG progress to the Champions League knockout stages after Newcastle United’s disppointing 2-1 loss to AC Milan.
