Jobe and Jude Bellingham are becoming the latest iconic brother footballing duo but how do they compare to other legend brother pairings?

Yaya And Kolo Toure

Arguably the best on the list as the brother enjoyed a great spell at Manchester City together. They won Manchester City’s first Premier League title together.

In 2015, they also the Africa Cup with Ivory Coast.

Individually, they were night and day. Yaya Toure won African Player Of The Year four years in a row from 2011 to 2014.

In Manchester City’s second title winning season, Toure scored 24 goals for the club. Toure joined Manchester City from Barcelona in 2010. He made 230 appearances for City and scored 59 goals. He twice won the Premier League along with two League Cups, and the FA Cup. After Manchester City, he joined Greek side Olympiakos. In 2019, he retired from world football. He will be known as one of Manchester City’s most iconic midfielders.

Kolo Toure started his career at ASEC Mimosas but he joined Arsenal in 2002 where his career took shape. Toure made 225 appearances for Arsenal and he lifted the Premier League with them as well as two FA Cups and two Community Shields. He joined Manchester City in 2009; a year before his brother. He never quite had the same impact there but managed 82 appearances in the four seasons he spent with the club. He then moved to Liverpool and was apart of the team that missed out on the Premier League title in the most bizarre way as Steven Gerrard slipped and…well you know the rest.

In 2016, he made a move to Celtic before retiring a year later. He quickly became apart of the managerial staff at Leicster City alongside Brendan Rogers. In 2022, he was appointed manager of Wigan Athletic but was fired a year later.

Gary and Phil Neville

Gary Neville dedicated his life to Manchester United and so did Phil Neville for the most part. Gary enjoyed a 19-year long spell at the club from 1992-2011.

Phil joined in 1994 but left to play for Everton in 2005. Phil was often a starter as he occupied the left-back spot as Gary occupied the right. At Manchester United, Phil won 6 Premier Leagues, three FA Cups, three Community Shields and a Champions League.

In 2005, Phil joined Everton and became club captain for them. He made over 300 appearances and retired with Everton in 2014.

He became the Lioness manager but stepped down in 2021. He now manages Portland Timbers.

Gary stayed at Manchester United his whole career and was rewarded for that. At the club, he won eight Premier League titles, three FA Cups, two Champions Leagues, FIFA Club World Cup and two League Cups. He made 603 appearances for Manchester United.

Gary had an unsuccessful managerial spell at Valencia in 2015 but was sacked after less than four months in charge. He is now a pundit on Sky Sports.

Jobe and Jude Bellingham

Jobe and Jude Bellingham have such a long way to go in their careers yet but how do they compare to the two most successful brother duos?

Starting with Jude Bellingham, he began his career with Birmingham. He made 44 appearances with them and scored four goals. Birmingham weirdly retired the number 22 shirt in 2020, when Bellingham left for Borussia Dortmund. The midfielder made 132 appearances and scored 24 goals. He won the German Cup there and even won Player of the Year in the 2022/23 season. He joined Real Madrid this summer and has been immense for them. 16 goals in 19 appearances has made him one of the signings of the summer; even though he cost Real Madrid £89m. Only 20 years of age, Bellingham has also been a star for England with 27 caps already.

Just two years younger than Jude, Jobe Bellingham also started his career like Jude at Birmingham. He made 26 appearances for them before joining Sunderland in the summer. He’s made 21 appearances for them and has scored four goals.
