PSV vs Arsenal Preview & Prediction
It’s a dead rubber between PSV and Arsenal in Tuesday’s earlier kick-off time slot. Both teams have already secured their place in the last-16 of the Champions League, with the Gunners advancing as group winners.
Lens could still match PSV’s tally of eight points, but the Dutch side would still advance thanks to their superior head-to-head record.
Peter Bosz’s side have been flawless in the Eredivisie so far, winning all 15 of their games. Across these games, they’ve scored a mammoth 52 goals and conceded just 6.
Arsenal enter the match off the back of a defeat to Aston Villa, denting their Premier League title hopes. Mikel Arteta had to watch the game from the stands after being suspended for an accumulation of yellow cards.
He will be back on the touchline for this one, though, as he looks to right the wrongs of their defeat at the Philips Stadion last season in the Europa League.

Although Arteta will surely expect a reaction from the Villa defeat, neither the Spaniard nor Arsenal fans should be overly concerned about the outcome of this match. PSV will be more motivated here, aiming to rectify their 4-0 defeat at the Emirates.
The absence of key attackers might hinder the hosts’ prospects of securing a second home victory over the Gunners in two seasons. Both teams might rotate their squads in order to keep players rested for crucial domestic matches; a low-key draw is a plausible outcome. We’re backing PSV double chance.

Despite the insignificance of the match, Andre Ramalho’s price to be booked can’t be ignored. The Brazilian defender has been booked twice in both the Eredivisie and the Champions League.
