The midweek victory over Champions League opposition lifted the Toffees out of the relegation zone into 17th, as they made it three wins from their last four English top flight matches.
Chelsea are just nine points above Sunday’s opponents in 10th, which means that if Everton hadn’t suffered a 10 point deduction – they’d be ahead of the Blues by a point.
