Steve Cooper has become the second Premier League manager to be sacked after over two years in charge of Nottingham Forest.
Cooper has been replaced by former Wolves and Tottenham gaffer Nuno Espirito Santo, who last managed in the Premier League in 2021.
But exactly how many Premier League managers have been axed or have left for other ventures this season?
SportsLens take a look at which managers have been sacked so far this term.
How many Premier League managers have been sacked so far?
Just two Premier League managers have been sacked during the 23/24 season so far.
This is a stark contrast to the number of bosses axed at this point in the season last year, where five managers had already been given their marching orders.
In fact, the 22/23 season broke the record for most sackings in a single Premier League season, with 13 by the end of the campaign.
Which Premier League managers have been sacked?
Paul Heckingbottom (4 December, 2023)
Sheffield United were the first Premier League club to sack their manager when Heckingbottom was relieved of his duties just days after they were obliterated 5-0 by fellow strugglers Burnley.
Heckingbottom, who guided the Blades to automatic promotion last season, was appointed on a permanent basis in November 2021 and managed 98 games during his tenure.
Steve Cooper (19 December, 2023)
Despite signing a new deal last season, Nottingham Forest decided to sack Cooper after a poor run of games, where they won one in 13 matches.
Cooper was hugely popular among Forest fans and will likely go down as a club legend. The Welshman took over when the club were bottom of the championship and guided the club to promotion in the same season. It was the first time the historic club had been in the top flight of English football since 1999.
