Following on from Tuesday’s double-header, gameweek 15 has a further six Premier League fixtures in store for fans to enjoy on Wednesday night, with four ties scheduled to kick-off at 19:30, and a further two at 20:15.
Looking to keep the pressure on league leaders Arsenal, Liverpool are in action against Sheffield United in one of the early kick-offs, with the Blades coming into the clash managerless after dismissing Paul Heckingbottom off the back of a bitterly disappointing 5-0 battering to Burnley. The Reds on the other hand, netted four stunners as they reigned triumphant in a seven-goal thriller against Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton are also in action at 19:30, welcoming Thomas Frank’s Brentford to the Amex off the back of a narrow 3-2 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. That defeat leaves the Seagulls seven points adrift of the Champions League qualification positions, meanwhile the Bees overcame Luton last time out to maintain their 11th place position in the table.
The other two early kick-offs see Crystal Palace welcome an in-form Bournemouth to Selhurst Park, while Steve Cooper’s struggling Nottingham Forest head to the capital to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Wednesday’s standout fixtures both come at 20:15, with Aston Villa welcoming reigning treble winners Manchester City to Villa Park in the first of two. Unai Emery‘s side boast the best home record in the league this term with six wins from six, while City head into the clash off the back of three successive domestic draws.
To round off the evening’s action, Mauricio Pochettino and his Chelsea side face a trip up north to take on Manchester United at Old Trafford. The Blues will go within two points of the Red Devils with a victory after triumphing against Brighton at the weekend, while United look to get back to winning ways after losing 1-0 to Newcastle last time out.
