Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Fabio Vieira will have an operation on the injury he recently sustained and is expected to be sidelined until 2024. Read on to find out all you need to know about the Fabio Vieira injury.
The Portuguese midfielder has been a regular in the Gunners squad over the last 18 months and has featured 13 times so far this season, scoring once and assisting a further four more.
However, he has not been in action for for around two weeks now after serving a suspension for the red card he picked up against Burnley earlier on this month.
Vieira was last in action for the Under-21s on November 14th, where he played 90 minutes in the side’s 5-2 defeat at the hands of League One side Reading in the EFL Trophy. Despite that appearance just a couple of weeks ago, he is now expected to be out until next year after picking up an injury.
