Manchester City’s injury update has been given a major boost, with Erling Haaland set to play against Liverpool in Saturday’s blockbuster clash at the Etihad Stadium.
Haaland suffered an ankle injury whilst on international duty and was ruled out of Norway’s final Euro 2024 qualifier against Scotland at Hampden Park on Sunday.

Erling Haaland had been a major doubt for the visit of Liverpool but it appears as though he will recover in time to face the Reds. The 23-year old twisted his ankle against the Faroe Islands – a similar injury he suffered in the 6-1 thrashing over Bournemouth earlier this month – and has been recovering for the last seven days.

Erling Haaland has carried on in 2023/24 very much where he left off from his record-breaking debut season in the blue half of Manchester last year, by netting an impressive number of goals. In the 12 Premier League games he has featured in, Haaland has scored 13 times, including braces against Chelsea and Manchester United and a hat-trick against Fulham.
