Taylor then defended her two belts on three occasions before adding a third belt when she knocked out Rose Volante in March 2019. Then came the undisputed fight. Katie Taylor narrowly defeated Belgium’s Delfine Persoon to become the undisputed lightweight champion at a sold-out Madison Square Garden on the Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr undercard.

Next was one fight up at super-lightweight, defeating Christina Linardatou to become a two-weight world champion. She then moved back down to 135-pounds for a undisputed rematch clash once again with Persoon. This time, Taylor won a bit more handily to put an end to their rivalry.

Then came another four defences of her undisputed 135-pound belts, defeating Miriam Guttierez, Britain’s Natasha Jonas, Jennifer Han and Firuza Sharipova before her epic war with Amanda Serrano. Taylor won the fight with Serrano via split decision at MSG in what is one of the best fights in recent boxing memory.

Then was another routine defence of her undisputed lightweight belts for ‘KT’, beating Karen Elizabeth Carabajal via decision once again. Then Katie Taylor dared to be great. Up next was yet another undisputed fight, but this time up a weight division at 140-pounds.

This was of course the first fight with Chantelle Cameron last time out.
