Manchester United’s injury concerns have gone from bad to worse during the international break, as Marcus Rashford and Andre Onana both limped off the field with respective injuries on Friday night.

More Injury Concerns For Manchester United

The Red Devils already have a long list of absentees who are struggling with knocks this year and two more stars were added to that list this weekend, as Marcus Rashford and Andre Onana were both substituted during international break with concerning knocks.

Rashford picked up his injury during England’s win against Malta, as the forward clashed with Three Lions teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold as they chased after the same ball.

Following the heavy clash Rashford looked dazed and took plenty of time to get back onto his feet, before England manager Gareth Southgate decided to substitute the United star.

Despite the concerning looking injury, Southgate provided a positive update on Rashford following the game: “”I think he [Rashford] is probably okay.

“We just thought given the nature of the collision and it was a chance to get Cole in to the game. I haven’t assessed too much but I think he was okay when he came off.”

But it wasn’t just Rashford who picked up a worrying knock on Friday night, as Andre Onana was also substituted late in Cameroon’s World Cup qualifier against Mauritius.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper received treatment from the Cameroon medical staff deep into the game, but Onana couldn’t carry on and is set to be assessed before his nation’s next match against Libya on Tuesday.

Rashford and Onana’s injuries only add to Erik ten Hag’s injury concerns at United, with Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund all struggling with knocks.

Manchester United face Everton next weekend when the Premier League returns and Ten Hag will be praying that some off his players will be able to make a return ahead of the busy Christmas period that’s coming up.
