CHELMSFORD JOCKEYS

COSMOS RAJ (3.05) is 0-8 on the all-weather but drops down to selling grade and ST LUKES CHELSEA (3.50) looks set to go well from the front in first-time blinkers, a positive statistical angle where Ralph Beckett’s all-weather handicappers are concerned.

NEWCASTLE 5.15
ALBEGONE, who is making his all-weather debut on his 41st career start, can be opposed in this 5f handicap. Tim Easterby’s five-year-old was a winner at Musselburgh 22 days but was well drawn that day and his yard’s last-time-out handicap winners can usually be opposed when rested for more than three weeks, with only eight winners from 181 runners since the soring of 2016 (4.4% strike-rate) for a loss of £109.38 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 21.12, A/E = 0.38). Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Fixed odds punters might want to side with NELSON GAY, unlucky at Redcar last time and four from five on Tapeta.
