Andrew heads to Newcastle’s evening all-weather meeting for his two recommended bets/trades on Tuesday, October 31st. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

NEWCASTLE 4.45

NOVELLO LAD looks interesting in this 7f handicap, having joining Paul Midgely from the Ronald Thompson yard. The juvenile’s new handler has only had one ex-Thompson horse before – Johnny Cavagin, who ran well on his debut for the yard (finishing a two-length 12-1 sixth from a poor draw) before going on to score twice and improve his turf rating from 63 to 76. Of even greater interest, is the switch from turf to the all-weather, as progeny of Mehmas are 22 from 111 in nurseries on synthetics for a profit of £76.54 to a £1 level stake at SP. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price (7-2 at the time of writing).

Recommendation: Back NOVELLO LAD in Newcastle 4.45

NEWCASTLE 7.45

ASADJUMEIRAH had his momentum checked at a crucial stage when he finished seventh of ten behind bigger-priced stablemate Bellagio Man in a 6f Newcastle handicap last month and it’s safe to draw a line through that run. Antony Brittain’s five-year-old has won over course and distance on two previous occasions and gets on well with Harry Russell, who takes over from Cam Hardie this evening. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back ASADJUMEIRAH in Newcastle 7.45
