Saudi Arabia are pulling out all the stops for Tyson Fury’s showdown with Francis Ngannou tonight – including a boxing ring that will rise from the floor during the opening ceremony.
The bout will take place in the Middle East in Riyadh, and is set to be attended by a star-studded list of celebrities including Cristiano Ronaldo, Conor McGregor and Ronaldo Nazario.
Ngannou will step into the ring as a professional for the first time, and what better opponent to be greeted by than the widely regarded best heavyweight in boxing, Tyson Fury?
The clash, titled ‘The Battle of the Baddest,’ is one of the biggest fights of the year. Fury has claimed he ‘could drink 25 pints of beer and still beat Ngannou in a fight.’
One of the most intriguing parts of the night will be when the ring rises from the ground following the opening ceremony.

According to boxing betting sites, Tyson Fury is the heavy 1/20 favourite to beat Francis Ngannou – who is available at a price of 8/1. If the latter was to pull off the win, it would surely go down as one of the biggest upsets of all-time.
Fury has said that this matchup is like a table tennis champion facing Novak Djokovic – so it’s fair to say that the ‘Gypsy King’ is quite confident about his chances of winning.
The Manchester-born heavyweight is the current WBC champion, but he will not defend his title tonight. The bout is a sanctioned professional fight, however.
When Fury saw Ngannou on the scales, he gave us another iconic line.
“I think he’s a big fat sausage and I’ll knock him spark out.”
