Former Heavyweight Champion, David Haye, has given his prediction for Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou and has picked Fury to dominate – in a scathing review of the UFC fighter.
The bout is set to take place in Saudi Arabia this weekend, as MMA meets boxing once again. Tyson Fury wills step into the ring against former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Francis Ngannou.
Fury’s last bout was over nine months ago, as he put in a dominant display against Derek Chisora and Ngannou, who has now parted ways with the UFC, last fought in January 2022 – beating Cyril Gane.
Many have ruled out of the Cameroonian MMA star, as he is making his boxing debut against one of, if not, the greatest heavyweight boxer in history.
Back in 2017, Conor McGregor stepped into the ring against Floyd Mayweather, in one of the grandest MMA/Boxing crossovers in history. Mayweather won in convincing fashion, which is why fight fans expect a similar outcome.
British boxing icon, David Haye, has given his prediction ahead of the bout and has made it very clear that Tyson Fury will win the fight, in his opinion.
Haye said: “I think Fury is good enough to make it entertaining, or he could go out there like he did with Deontay Wilder the second time and just smoke him.”
“I’d like him to drag it out six/seven rounds, bust him up and show why there is a difference between professional boxers and MMA fighters.”
The former UFC fighter is being disregarded going into the bout, but has an X factor, he boasts the Guinness world record for the hardest punch to be recorded.
Fury’s superior boxing ability is predicted to see him reign victorious and the Englishman is the bookies’ choice, being a 1/25 favourite.
