DAZAMAY (system – Phil Kirby, very recent run)
Trainer Phil Kirby does well when bringing one of his runners back to the track very quickly (one to six days), scoring with 31 of the 116 qualifiers since 2010 for a profit of £26.59 to a £1 level stake at SP. The non-handicappers show a loss (three from 22, -£10.50) but plenty of others ran well in defeat and a small each-way interest on DAZAMAY, who beat only one home when 300-1 over 1m here on Tuesday, could pay dividends in a very weak race.
NEWCASTLE 7.30
GOLD MEDAL (system – Olympic Glory, all-weather, not Polytrack)
Progeny of the sire Olympic Glory tend to prefer the all-weather to turf and they do especially well on Tapeta and Fibresand. Ignoring runs on Polytrack, the sire is 20 from 126 (16%) for a huge profit of £142.99 to a £1 level stake at SP. GOLD MEDAL has struggled in Class 4 company the last twice but might do better now down in grade after a break.
