Manchester City’s Jack Grealish has outlined the team’s aspiration for an invincible season, drawing inspiration from Arsenal’s legendary “Invincibles.”

Under the leadership of Pep Guardiola, the team completed an astonishing clean sweep of major trophies, including their first-ever Champions League title. After clinching the treble last season, Grealish has hinted that City sought to replicate the Gunners’ historic feat.

To fortify their already formidable squad, they welcomed newcomers like Josko Gvardiol, Jeremy Doku, Mateo Kovacic, and Matheus Nunes.

While Guardiola has achieved nearly everything during his seven-year tenure, Grealish shared his personal ambition of an unbeaten Premier League campaign. This dream gained momentum with a six-game winning streak at the season’s outset. However, it came to a sudden halt with a defeat to Wolves, followed by another loss to Arsenal.

Grealish acknowledged the challenge of setting new targets and maintaining motivation after such a triumphant year. He explained, “Obviously doing something at international level definitely would [top winning the treble]. But then even at club-level you think ‘what would top it?’

“Maybe to win all four including the Carabao Cup but we went out of that last week. You probably think about doing an ‘Invincible’ season but we got beat. To do what we did last year again would be unbelievable and to do something at international level with this group of players would be unbelievable.”

He expressed his confidence in England’s potential, believing they had the perfect team and manager guiding them. He believes they are growing stronger and that many of their players could easily slot into any top club or national team.

Grealish concluded by stating that the next goal on his list was securing a trophy with England. He felt optimistic about their chances, having come close twice before, and believes that the team are on the path to further success.

Following their 1-0 win over Australia, England prepare for their Euro qualifier clash with Italy on October 17.
