SportsLens Head of News Lee Astley said: Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn are finally set to get in the ring together this winter. They were originally scheduled to fight last October at The O2 Arena in London before Benn tested positive for a banned substance.

“The British Boxing Board of Control released a statement declaring the fight was prohibited from taking place and despite Benn’s protested innocence, there is still a good chance it will not take place in the United Kingdom.

“Matchroom CEO Eddie Hearn has agreed a deal for the pair to go head-to-head in the Middle East in the event that Benn isn’t cleared to box in Britain. The preference is to fight in Cardiff at the Principality Stadium, however.

“Eubank Jr recently recorded an impressive TKO victory against Liam Smith in September and will look to take that in his stride against Benn, which is why the former has been priced as low as 8/11 to win the fight.

“The pair are close in the betting and Benn remains undefeated in his career with a record of 22-0 with 14 wins by KO. This is a mouthwatering clash and undoubtedly one of the biggest fights of the year.”
