Former Chelsea star, Eden Hazard, has announced his retirement from football on social media ending a career that spans over 16 years.
The Belgian has decided to hang his boots up and end his stellar playing career, that has caught the attention of all football enthusiasts.
Hazard, 32, has been plagued with injuries towards the end of his career, which saw his time at Real Madrid come to an end.
During his stellar career Eden Hazard donned the shirt at, LOSC Lille, Chelsea and Real Madrid – making 623 appearances.
In this time, the Belgian racked up a huge tally of goal contributions, reaching 324 (167 goals & 157 assists) establishing himself as one of the sport’s greats.
As well as individual efforts, Hazard won a host of trophies, including: two Premier Leagues, two La Ligas, two Europa Leagues, one Ligue 1, a Champions League, the FA Cup, a Club World Cup, a Copa del Ray, a UEFA Super Cup and an English League Cup.

The latter stages of his career were dampened by injury in Madrid, after swapping Stamford Bridge for the Bernabeu in 2019.
Hazard missed over 100 matches through a variety of knocks, which has led to this retirement at just 32-years-old. A decision that many expected to see after failing to find a club this summer.
His career will be looked back on with great respect, with many labelling the former Chelsea star as one of the best Premier League players during his peak years.
In 2015, the now retired superstar won the PFA POTY award in the Premier League after helping the Blues clinch a Premier League title.
His retirement post has marked a huge day in football, with huge names such as, Rio Ferdinand, Cesar Azpilicueta and Willian all commenting their gratitude towards the Belgian.
What’s next for Hazard? Well the usual next step is punditry, coaching or something within that realm, however, the Belgian is expected to a sustained absence and enjoy his time away.
