Manchester United’s £89m flop has had a positive drugs test come back after being chosen for random testing. He could now face a ban of up to four years.

Pogba was selected in late August. Within his initial test found some unusual amounts of elevated testosterone within his system. He then received a one month suspension until founding out the results of the second drugs test. Test B has come back positive today and the Frenchman could face a ban within 2-4 years.

Pogba has suffered a number of injury setbacks since re-joining Juventus last summer. He managed less than 2 hours of football last season. He also missed the Qatar 2022 World Cup in which his home nation France made it all the way to the final.

There is no statement released yet from Pogba or his professional contacts but at the time of his initial suspension, his agent Rafaela Pimenta, said: “What is certain is that Paul Pogba never wanted to break a rule.”.
