West Ham return to Europa League action off the back of two successive victories domestically, and face what looks to be their toughest task on paper in taking on Bundesliga side Freiburg away from home.

Freiburg are competing in the Europa League for a second consecutive season, and finished top of Group G in 2022/23 without losing a single game.

Their form coming into this one is fairly good form as well, as they are now unbeaten in three straight matches, running out as 2-0 winners over Augsburg on Sunday afternoon.

They narrowly beat Olympiacos away from home in their opening game of the group, meanwhile the Hammers came from behind against Serbian side Backa Topola to win 3-1 at the London Stadium.
