Bournemouth vs Arsenal Preview

Both Bournemouth and Arsenal advanced to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup in midweek, and the pair face off against eachother on Saturday as return to Premier League action.

The Cherries are still without a win in the league this term, with their only two victories coming in the aforementioned cup against Championship opposition, and find themselves two points above the relegation zone in 17th place.

Mikel Arteta’s side extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to nine matches with a 1-0 win over Brentford on Wednesday, sitting fifth in the league table, and are one of four teams remaining in 2023/24 yet to taste defeat in the English top flight.

They drew 2-2 against fellow unbeaten side Tottenham last week in the North London Derby despite taking the lead on two occasions, but were pegged back twice by Heung-min Son either side of the half time whistle.

Last season’s meeting at the Vitality saw the Gunners run rampant with a 3-0 win in August, as Martin Odegaard bagged a brace, followed by a second half goal by French defender William Saliba.
