Aaron Wan-Bissaka came on as a substitute off with in the final minutes of Man Utd’s 3-1 defeat to Brighton on Saturday. He picked up a hamstring issue during the final moments of the match. It’s now official that’ll be facing two months out to add to Man Utd’s injury woes.
Man Utd already have the likes of Raphael Varane, Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat out due to injuries. Jadon Sancho and Antony are also missing due to personal issues. Getting replacements has been an issue for Man Utd as performances have been lacking. They currently sit 13th in the Premier League table.
Wan-Bissaka is set to miss up to six games for Man Utd including a trip to the Allianz arena to face Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Man United’s statement on Wan-Bissaka’s injury read: “Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set for a period on the sidelines after sustaining an injury during the closing stages of Saturday’s game against Brighton & Hove Albion.
“The right-back came on as an 85th-minute substitute, having started the game on the bench after battling illness during the week.
“Further assessment will be needed to determine how long Wan-Bissaka will be out for, but initial indications suggest it will be several weeks.”
