Jürgen Klopp has added more defensive misery on to Liverpool fans with the latest Liverpool teams news.

With Liverpool missing Virgil Van Dijk through suspension after his red card against Newcastle United, Klopp has confirmed Trent Alexander-Arnold is out injured. The full back is a crucial part of the Liverpool set up, but Liverpool will be without Trent this weekend.

On the Trent injury, Klopp said:

“He is not available, we knew that before.

“He didn’t train with the team once yet and will take a little bit. It is not the worst hamstring injury you can have but it’s a hamstring injury and they barely heal in two weeks – and this one didn’t, either.

“As he is running already, we hope he can start ball work early next week and then we will see and go from there.”

The latest Liverpool team news from Klopp puts question marks on who’ll start for Liverpool when they face Wolves.

Luckily for Liverpool, Ibrahima Konate is expected to make his return from injury. Klopp confirmed that he has trained this week with the team. Konate will be able to fill in for Van Dijk, allowing Joe Gomez to play right back with Trent out.

Other Liverpool Team News

In other Liverpool team news, Darwin Núñez is expected be available for the game. Klopp said:

“[Darwin Nunez] I didn’t see him yet, but we obviously had contact and he said it was fine, but we will see that now and make a couple of decisions there. Darwin should be fine.”

Klopp has got some big decisions to make this weekend when they face up against Wolves.
