The Metropolitan Police are investigating an alleged assault on a Sky Sports pundit at the Emirates Stadium after Arsenal beat Manchester United 3-1, with no arrests yet to have been made.

Following Arsenal overcoming Manchester United 3-1 late-on at the Emirates on Sunday, an assault is alleged to have taken place involving Sky Sports pundits Roy Keane and Micah Richards, with reports now claiming that it was the former who was assaulted.

In a report by The Athletic, eyewitnesses claim that Keane was startled by the alleged assault, however he remained ‘ultra professional’ and didn’t react aggressively.

Footage quickly circulated on social media after the full-time whistle showing the aftermath of the incident, where Richards is seen ‘acting to diffuse’ the situation.

The Metropolitan Police have since confirmed that they are investigating the matter, and both Keane and Richards have given statements to officers.
