We take an early look this weekend’s upcoming fixtures, and provide all you Fantasy players with a handful of FPL gameweek four tips and predictions if you are eager to make changes.

FPL Gameweek Four Tips

Alphonse Areola (£4m)

At just £4m, West Ham Alphonse Areola has proven to be one of the bargain picks of the season so far, for those who were brave enough to chance it.

Although they are yet to keep a clean sheet, the Frenchman has averaged six points per game across the Hammers’ three fixtures – third-most for a goalkeeper –  including a 10 point showing in their win over Chelsea in gameweek two.

Five points in their win over Brighton despite conceding also reflects his importance, as he faced a barrage of 25 shots.

A favourable fixture in gameweek four sees West Ham travel to Luton for the first game at Kenilworth Road. The Hatters’ blunted attack has struggled to impose themselves so far, and West Ham’s unbeaten start could continue with a clean sheet here.

Darwin Nunez (£7.5m)

Could Darwin’s double on Tyneside kick his goalscoring rhythm into life?

Liverpool’s smash and grab victory over Newcastle on Sunday was led by an inspired 15-minute flurry from substitute Darwin Nunez, who may see that hugely important cameo as the turning point for his season.

The Reds host Aston Villa at Anfield in gameweek four, and although Nunez’s starting role is far from certain, there is a good chance Jurgen Klopp will reward the Uruguayan with a place in the line-up.

He is an agent of chaos. A hugely unpredictable yet undeniable threat in front of goal that may just be worth the gamble after last weekend’s effort. Both goals were taken with such poise and precision, which makes us think he has been hard at work in the off-season to try and improve his conversion rate.

Bryan Mbeumo (£6.7m)

If you don’t have this man in your team already, he is certainly worth considering ahead of gameweek four.

In the absence of Ivan Toney, Mbeumo has taken up the mantle of Brentford’s chief creator and goalscorer. He ranks second in the Premier League for non-penalty expected goals (1.95) and for big chances (four).

He always seems to be at the centre of everything the Bees do going forward, and his role as the penalty and free-kick taker only adds to his appeal.

Mbeumo lines up against a Bournemouth team who have conceded six times in three games, and who conceded the second-most goals away from home last season.

Ben Chilwell (£5.7m)

Chelsea have one of the best chances for a clean sheet in gameweek four when they play host to Nottingham Forest.

Not only did Forest concede the most goals away from home, they also struggled the most when finding hit, scoring on just 11 occasions across 19 games.

Interestingly, they have flipped that on its head this term after scoring goals against Arsenal and United so far, although they would go on to lose both of those fixtures.

Ben Chilwell is our final tip given his duality as a solid defender and a genuine attacking threat. In terms of non-penalty expected goals he ranks the highest of any defender, and his set-piece ability from corners makes him an added threat for an assist.
