The fourth and final day of the Ebor Festival is here, with some great races to end the week. To prepare for the action, we have put together some York each-way tips on Saturday with a cheeky 80/1 double. Check out our selections below.
York Each-Way Tips On Saturday 26th August
2:25pm Sky Bet Melrose Stakes Heritage Handicap 1m6f ITV: EDGE OF DARKNESS @ 9/1
The first selection of our York each-way tips on Saturday is EDGE OF DARKNESS. Charlie Johnston’s gelding has won his last three races, and is seeking the four timer, albeit in his toughest challenge to date.
However, he is versatile ground wise and can still improve off mark of 84. The son of Australia won well when last seen at Newmarket with a lot in hand, and could relish a step up in trip here on a slightly quicker surface.
Jason Hart takes over in the saddle too and he has a decent record when riding for Johnston, so is a solid each-way play.

4:10pm Sky Bet Constantine Stakes Heritage Handicap 6f ITV: ABERAMA GOLD @ 8/1
Completing our York each-way tips on Saturday is ABERAMA GOLD. This progressive six-year-old has won two of his three starts since switching to the David O’Meara yard and can have a say in proceedings once again.
He finished fifth on stable debut, but has followed that up with a two Class 2 wins, and is seeking a hat-trick. His first win for O’Meara was over this course and distance at the end of July, and he was turned out quick to go on and win at Goodwood just a week later.
Also scored twice for Keith Dalgleish when at old yard in June, he is excellent at 6f and going up another 5lb shouldn’t be a problem given his current form.
