Everton have reportedly reached an agreement over a fee to sell Demarai Gray to Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab, however they won’t sanction a departure until a replacement is found.
Demarai Gray could be the next Premier League star to make the Saudi Pro League switch, as Al-Shabab have reportedly agreed a fee with Everton over his transfer.
The news comes from Sky Sports, who claim that although a fee has been agreed – Gray’s departure won’t be sanctioned until a suitable replacement is found.
Sean Dyche’s side were on the end of a 4-0 drubbing to Aston Villa at the weekend, and having offered close to nothing for the entire 90 minutes, Sean Dyche is keen to bring in reinforcements before the end of the transfer window.
And although Jack Harrison joined from Leeds last week – he remains out injured, along with Dwight McNeil, and now Alex Iwobi, therefore the Toffees cannot afford to allow Gray to leave unless he is immediately replaced within the squad.

Gray has fallen somewhat out-of-favour under Dyche at Goodison Park – failing to appear in his matchday squad in the opening two games of the campaign.
When fit and firing, the Jamaican international has been a valuable asset for the Merseyside club, although he has lacked in consistently providing returns in front of goal.
In terms of potential replacements, the Toffees have been heavily linked with a move for another Leeds player – Wilfried Gnonto.
Gnonto has made himself unavailable for the Yorkshire club as he looks to secure an exit, however Everton face competition from Serie A pair Roma and Atalanta.
If they are able to secure the signing of Gnonto though, it would likely be enough to cover the attacking areas and to ensure Gray’s departure for Saudi Arabia.
