Manchester City are reportedly advancing on a move for Rennes winger Jeremy Doku, after offering the Ligue 1 side in excess of £50million for the Belgian.

The Cityzens have been heavily linked with the Belgium international throughout the summer, whilst Chelsea and West Ham also hold an interest in the 21-year-old.
David Moyes’ side have already reportedly seen a bid for Doku rejected, with the Ligue 1 side looking to secure €55million in order to sell the talented forward.
And it looks as if Manchester City have matched that valuation, as Fabrizio Romano reports that a verbal proposal of €55million-€60million is being discussed by the clubs.
“Man City, advancing on Jeremy Doku deal as new verbal proposal close to €55/60m package is being discussed with Rennes,” Romano tweeted on Monday morning.
“There’s competition but City hope to reach an agreement with Rennes this week — after green light on player side since beginning of August.”

City’s interest in Doku comes amid the departure of Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez, who left for the Saudi Pro League earlier in the summer.
Doku would become the third arrival at the Etihad this summer, following Croatian duo Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol through the door.
Nicknamed ‘The Belgian Flash’, Doku is comfortable on both the right-wing, and the left-wing, and has drawn comparisons to the likes of Sadio Mane and Eden Hazard, so if an agreement is met – he would provide an exciting, versatile option for Guardiola’s side going forward.
