PSG forward Kylian Mbappe has reportedly told his employers that he will not depart the club this summer under any circumstances, despite the club wanting to sell him in order to avoid losing him for free next summer.

The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga has taken many twists and turns over the last few months, but now, the forward has reportedly informed PSG that he will be remaining at the club beyond this summer’s transfer window.

PSG are under the impression that Mbappe has an agreement with Real Madrid to join on a free transfer next summer, therefore they’ve been looking to sell him this summer in order to gain a fee for his departure.

Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal saw a world-record bid for the forward accepted, however the Frenchman had no interest in the move and swiftly turned down the proposal.

And despite Paris Saint-Germain making it clear that he will be frozen out if he chooses to remain, Mbappe has made it clear under no uncertain terms that he will not depart this summer under any circumstances whatsoever.

PSG have already started planning for life without their star man, and want to set a precedent that no player is bigger than the club – regardless of who they are.

It is believed that Mbappe feels let down by the PSG hierarchy due to their transfer policy.

When he penned a new deal in the French capital last summer, he was reportedly led to believe that both Robert Lewandowski and Bernardo Silva would be joining the club.

Of course, neither made the switch to the Ligue 1 champions, with Lewandowski still at Barcelona, and Silva still at Manchester City.

Regardless, Mbappe will have to get used to life away from first team football at club level until the situation is rectified, as he will reportedly have no involvement in both training and matches under Luis Enrique until the end of his contract with the club.
