Brentford vs Tottenham Preview
After both Brentford and Tottenham narrowly missed out on European football last term, they face off against eachother in their opening fixture of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
Brentford finished in ninth last term, whilst Tottenham finished with one point higher in eighth, as Aston Villa secured the final European position just one point clea of Spurs, and two points clear of the Bees.
Tottenham, of course, are entering a new era under newly-appointed manager Ange Postecoglou, who has signed James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario and Manor Solomon since his arrival. Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro have also joined permanently after initially joining on loan.
In terms of departures, Lucas Moura and Harry Winks have exited permanently, whilst talisman Harry Kane remains linked with a big-money move to Bayern Munich.
Thomas Frank has acquired Nathan Collins as a new defensive option, as well as goalkeeper Mark Flekken. Kevin Schade has also made the permanent move to the Gtech Community Stadium having joined on loan halfway through last season.
David Raya is the only expected notable departure from the club this summer, as the Spaniard remains heavily linked with a move to fellow London club Arsenal.
