The agent of Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah, Ramy Abbas Issa, has confirmed that the Egyptian remains ‘committed’ to the project at Anfield despite a reported approach from Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad.
Liverpool have been handed a major boost ahead of their Premier League opener versus Chelsea this weekend after Mohamed Salah’s agent confirmed that the forward remains ‘committed’ to the Anfield side despite interest from the Saudi Pro League.
Salah has reportedly been subject to interest from Saudi Arabian champions Al-Ittihad, and despite an enticing big-money offer, the Egyptian will remain at Liverpool come the start of the campaign.
“If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer.” Ramy Abbas Issa tweeted.
“Mohamed remains committed to LFC.”

Al-Ittihad have already made marquee signings in the form of Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante and Fabinho this summer, and have also secured the signature of Jota from Celtic.
With a clear pull for players from elite European sides, their interest in Salah would’ve left some Reds fans worried, however this morning’s update will ease those worries – at least for the time being.
Salah isn’t the only Liverpool player to have been linked with a move to the up-and-coming Middle Eastern league either.
Roberto Firmino joined Al Ahli at the end of his spell at Anfield, followed by club captain Jordan Henderson who joined Al-Ettifaq, as well as the aforementioned Fabinho.
Luis Diaz was also subject to a £50million offer, but for the bid to be swiftly rejected by the Liverpool hierarchy.
