Frankie Dettori has already had a top season with wins in the 2000 Guineas, Epsom Oaks and Ascot Gold Cup but he’s back for more this week as he embarks on his final Glorious Goodwood fixture.

Won a Leicester maiden back at the end of May and backed that up with a close third in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot last month. Trained by Richard Fahey and will head here having been freshened up with around a month off. Frankie will ride the horse for the first time but has a top record in this race with 6 overall wins – needs just 1 more to overtake Willie Carson and be the winning-most jockey in the history of the race.
4:00 – World Pool Lennox Stakes (Group 2) Cl1 (3yo+) 7f ITV: KINROSS @ 6/4 with Paddy Power
Kinross was runner-up in this race last year to Sandrine but in what looks a slightly easier renewal will have a big chance of going one better for Frankie. Was last seen running third in the July Cup at Newmarket – beaten just 1 1/2 lengths and that’s the best form coming into this race. Frankie’s only win in the Lennox Stakes came in 2006 on Iffraaj.
4:35 – Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup Stakes (Group 1) (British Champions Series) Cl1 (3yo+) 2m ITV: COURAGE MON AMI @ 2/1 with Paddy Power
Gave Frankie an 8th Ascot Gold Cup win in June and will be all the rage to follow-up here. This Wathnan Racing-owned 4 year-old remains unbeaten (4 runs) and having won now over 1m4f, 1m6f and 2m4f we know he’s versatile in terms of trip. Still very lightly raced for a Cup horse and with five wins in the race Frankie needs just one more success to become the winning-most jockey in the race (currently tied with 5 other jockeys). Back riding for his old friends Godolphin here. This 3 year-old filly has raced five times with her sole career win coming on debut at Yarmouth. Was last in action in the Listed Distaff Stakes at Sandown (3rd) so the ease back into a handicap here will help. Looks an open race which would give Frankie’s mount each-way claims, while it’s a prize the William Haggas yard have won twice in the last five years so their entry Good Gracious is respected too.
