Declan Rice was confirmed as an Arsenal player just a few days ago for a club-deal worth £100m with £5m in add-ons, in a move which will no doubt ensure they challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title once again. According to exclusive odds compiled by SportsLens, Arsenal are strongly fancied in the latest club to spend most on a single player odds.

  • Rice’s £105m move to North London was a new British transfer record, as well as a new club-record for Arsenal.
  • No team has been linked to a player worth more at this stage…
  • Liverpool were “rumoured” to want Kylian Mbappe, but unlikely to happen

Club To Spend Most On A Single Player Odds:

  • Arsenal @ 4/9
  • Chelsea @ 4/1
  • Man United @ 6/1
  • Man City @ 10/1
  • Newcastle @ 12/1
  • Any Other Club @ 8/1

The Gunners are already backed to spend the most out of any other team in the Premier League this season with their spending nearing almost £200m so far. Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz combine to take Arsenal’s spending up to £198.3m already this summer, with more incomings possible.

As of now, no other team looks likely to spend any more than Arsenal’s £105m on a single player, which is why they are the current favourites in the latest club to spend most on a single player odds.

We know Chelsea have plenty of money due to their owner Todd Boehly being ranked amongst some of the richest owners in football. The Blues have actively been trying to sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, but the Seagulls have recently rejected a bid worth £70m.

It could certainly take up to £100m for Mauricio Pochettino’s side to sign the Ecuadorian powerhouse, so could they overtake Arsenal as spending the most on a single player?

There’s also the likes of United and City in the mix, but the former are fairly strapped for cash, and the latter work tend to work smartly in transfer windows.

SportsLens Head of News Lee Astley said: “We all know how important it is to improve a squad after every season, and Arsenal have done just that. The Declan Rice signing was a huge statement to the rest of the league, and the side can go close again this year.

“Mikel Arteta done a great job last season and has already brought in some top talent.”
