Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace are reportedly ramping up their interest in Everton forward Demarai Gray following his excellent performances for Jamaica.

Crystal Palace are reportedly the latest club to enquire about the availability of Everton’s Jamaican forward Demarai Gray.

Gray lost his starting berth at Goodison towards the latter end of last season, to which he grew frustrated with and is now said to be looking for a fresh start.

Palace may be able to provide that new challenge for the 27-year-old, however they are likely to face some stiff competition from big spending Saudi Pro League sides.

The forward has just one year left on his contract with the Toffees, so the club may also be looking to secure a sale in order to gain some sort of fee for his departure.

Gray joined Everton from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen back in the summer of 2021, and has mostly impressed during his time in Merseyside.

Recently, he also switched his international allegiance from England to Jamaica, something which looks to be paying dividends after making his debut at the recent CONCACAF Gold Cup.

He made his debut in the opening match of the tournament against the United States of America, where he provided an assist as they recorded an impressive 1-1 draw.

In the following match, he netted his first goals for the country – scoring twice as they defeated Trinidad and Tobago 4-1.

Gray recorded another assist in the quarter-finals versus Guatemala, however Jamaica were knocked out in the semi-finals against Mexico.

Thriving on the international stage, Gray might just need a change of scenery to boost his performances at club level – something that Crystal Palace and Roy Hodgson may well be able to provide.
